Introduction Of HARBOR PILOT – SailPoint’s First Digital Agent
Harbor Pilot is an agentic AI that acts as a virtual coworker available in Identity Security Cloud. It assists with the requests related to workflows, identity data exploration and documentation searches.
This AI assistant uses Natural Language Processing (NLP), so it understands user’s query written in plain text and provides accurate results. Currently, it supports only the English language.
The following are the features that the AI agent can work on:

Search Documentation
You can ask anything related to product documentation. Harbor Pilot processes your query and provides relevant answers from the documentation, along with links to the reference pages of the document.
You can ask questions or raise doubts; Harbor Pilot will find the information and answer them for you. You can also copy the results for further use. There is no more manual search through the documentation.
Generate Workflows
Harbor Pilot can create workflows for you automatically. You don’t need to manually drag and drop the objects.
Example:
Clearly define the workflow: ‘Build a workflow to automatically revoke access for inactive identities.’
Harbor Pilot drafts the steps to create the workflow for you.
Verify the steps and click the ‘Create Workflow’ button.
You will see a success message along with the ‘View Workflow’ link. It will take you to the workflow page where you can see the generated workflow.
You can edit and deploy the workflow.
Explore Your Data
Building a search model is another feature of this AI agent. It can perform searches on Identity data and provide search results.
Example:
Ask the query: ‘Create a search query to identify all the non-privileged access.’
Harbor Pilot will perform the search on the identity data and provide a preview of the search results. If there is nothing matching the search object, the results may include related objects.
To view the complete result, click ‘View Search Results.’
It will take you to the search page, where you can see the actual query generated by Harbor Pilot and also the full search results.
You can save the search query and either subscribe to or download the search results as a report.
Enable Harbor Pilot in Identity Security Cloud
If you are using SailPoint Identity Security Cloud, check the availability of Harbor Pilot in your tenant or contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM).
Steps to Enable:
In Identity Security Cloud, go to Admin > Global > System Settings.
Select System Features.
Check the box ‘Enable Harbor Pilot.’
Click Save.
You can also directly enable it from the Admin page by selecting the Harbor Pilot icon. Before starting to prompt Harbor Pilot, make sure to review and agree to SailPoint’s AI terms.
Note: This feature can only be seen and enabled by Org Admins.
Harbor Pilot is a new addition to SailPoint’s Identity Security Cloud that minimizes the time spent searching documentation or designing workflows. It is still in its early stages, and we can expect more features and improvements in the future.
